Curriculum & Daily Schedule

Honeydew Drop’s curriculum has a solid foundation in early childhood development. The various areas in the classroom are designed to encourage children’s exploration and learning. Our cozy book corner provides a quiet space for reading and one on one time with a teacher. We have a variety of manipulates that help develop motor and cognitive skills. The block area encourages constructive play, as well as math and scientific ideas. Our art materials and easel are always available for creative, imaginative and messy play. The dress-up area is well stocked with capes, skirts, hats and shoes where children love to explore adult roles and emotional themes. Sensory play is a consistent part of Honeydew’s curriculum. Enrichment classes like yoga, music, movement and language are incorporated in the schedule every week. Learning the Spanish language will be interspersed in the activities all day with songs and counting.
